Welcome to Raleigh Canada
Founded in 1887, Raleigh is the face that cyclists have looked to for a quality ride for 125
years. Our first champion, A. A. Zimmerman, clinched the title of "Champion of the World" aboard
a wooden-wheeled Raleigh bike in 1893. With a history spanning three centuries, Raleigh has
been a primary proponent in the evolution of cycling as we know it. But what does all this mean
to you, and your cycling experience?
It means we know what works. Raleigh bikes are outfitted with the most advanced componentry
available, at a price that fits any budget. "Made in Canada" means your Raleigh is manufactured
with the love and care that you and your bike deserve. All our frames are manufactured by
master craftsmen who have been at the job for thirty plus years. You get a lot more for your
money with a Raleigh bike.
At Raleigh we believe we have created some of the finest bicycles available today. Modern
innovation and old-world craftsmanship combine to make Raleigh your #1 choice in cycling. Our
steadfast commitment to the customer will ensure you enjoy your Raleigh bike for decades to
come.
We've always been there.
The Trans Canada Trail Foundation is a registered charity created with the sole purpose of enabling us to marvel at the contour and beautyof this great country. The trail winds through every province and territory, linking many of our cities as well as small communities. The land has come from existing trails, old railroads that have been taken up and some from private land owners granting right of way.
This is the longest cycle trail in the world and covers over 16,000 kilometres. As a proud Canadian manufacturer we have become the official bicycle sponsor of this fantastic trail. If you haven't had the pleasure of a family ride on a cycling trail we invite you to get out and do just that. It is one of the most healthy and enjoyable ways to spend your leisure time.
